How many of us have fallen into the trap of reading a book on the first day or week of school just because it is about...wait for it...school? Just me? I don’t think so. While there are many great back to school books out there, and I may read a few, the first books that we choose to read to our learners will set the tone for the whole year. So, how do you want to use those precious moments? By honoring tradition or by using them to build community, set the tone for the year and inspire the children who have been gifted to you?
